End Public Corruption
Public corruption strikes at the heart of our democracy.
We cannot move forward as a society unless and until
we can trust our elected officials. As District Attorney, I
will adopt a multi-agency approach to expand the Public
Integrity Division and vigorously prosecute those public
officials who break the law and abuse the public trust.
Reduce Violent Crime
Violent criminals destroy families and communities.
I will continue to further reduce violent crime by
aggressively targeting gangs and violent felons
who put our neighborhoods at risk. I will embrace
a zero tolerance approach to gang activity, and focus
resources on eradicating gangs and their leadership.
Stop Crime Before it Starts
The District Attorney's office cannot simply be
a reactive agency. As your DA, I will strive to reach out
to and educate parents and kids in order to provide
opportunities and alternatives for our youth. I will work
with other agencies and officials to establish "Gang
Prevention Zones" in our most affected areas, which
will focus efforts on keeping kids out of gangs.
Modernization through Innovation: Focus on High Tech Crimes
The face of crime is rapidly evolving with the next
frontier being cyber crimes, including fraud and
identity theft. I will ensure that the District Attorney's
office maintains cutting edge investigative and
prosecutorial technology in order to stay steps
ahead of high tech criminals.
